Well, I just got back from taking Karla to the Doctor. She has pneumonia! He started her on a 2 part series of antibiotic shots (1 today and another tomorrow) and some pills. IF she gets worse tonight OR isn't showing signs of recovery within the next day or 2, he's gonna put her in the hospital.
We're sure gonna needs your Prayers and support, she's a pretty good fighter
but she's REALLY drug out and not very energetic at all. She gets winded just walking to the bathroom (not THAT far away). Got her on Gatorade and such, to try to keep her from getting dehydrated. Of course this wipes out Me from going much of anywhere for several days. Guess I'd better go for now, got to fix something for Karla and my Supper.

Thanks Landon, so do I. If it's not better real soon, he's gonna put her in the hospital. So, I'm doing ALL I can to get this taken care of.

Guy at work just got over it........he was in the hospital for a week..............they say its worse in the summer when you get it............I hope she kicks it quick...........

My Dad has had it twice in the last 2 or 3 yrs and was hospitalized as well. Hoping that we caught it soon enough and can keep her out of the hospital. She's on meds and got a shot this afternoon and will get another tomorrow. Pushing Gaterade, soups and such. She'll be off work for at least a week.

Hopefully she will be feeling better soon Bill. My prayers are with ya'll!!!

Thanks Joe, Every Bit Helps! Besides the meds, the doctor gave her a prescription for some pills and cough medicine as well. Already got a couple of doses of that cough medicine down her in hopes that she'll sleep better tonight and we can lick this w/o a hospital stay and in a shorter time.

Well, Karla seems to be holding her own with this and we'll be going to get that 2nd shot, in a little while and so the Doctor can see how she is doing. I Pray that we can nip this this soon and skip the hospital stay.

Well, we have Dodged the Hospital trip, so far. Her lungs sound more clear, she got a better night's sleep And Feels better. So,Doc said, keep it up and check back in on Tuesday Morning. Whew! Sure glad things are working out in OUR favor! Gotta keep check on this stuff. I've sen my Dad through TWO episodes of this!:rolleyes:

Thanks, she IS on the mend. So, it is looking like we have managed to keep her out of the hospital and I am REALLY thankful for that.:cool: She goes back to see the Doctor on Tues and is off of work all next week. Seems like we might just have caught this in time.;)

Thanks, It really set me back when the Doctor said Pneumonia cause most people I know who have had it, go to the hospital. Thankfully we seemed to have bypassed that part. I don't think this Saturday will be a problem, as we managed to make it out to the Slamily Reunion to support Aleshia for a little while, but Karla started getting hot after we'd been there for awhile. I wouldn't even have taken her out there, but the temp stayed under 100 for a bit AND she said she felt like going and Aleshia had a canopy that she could sit under. Looking forward to seeing you all again.;)

Well, I take Karla back to the Doctor today and see how we are doing with the Pneumonia. She seems to be doing pretty well, with mainly a little bit of a cough that keeps me giving her cough medicine off and on. So, we'll see just where we stand with it now.;)

good to hear! definitely too hot to be outside, wish I coulda not gone to work today. Had to get 5 cavities filled this morning and found myself drooling on my keyboard my mouth was so numb.....

Yeah, I hear ya. Kinda like I REALLY need to get down to my Dad's place and take care of his grass. That stuff (and the weeds) just seems to keep growing!

I sure don't envy ANYONE having to work out in this heat and DEFINITELY don't envy you having dental work either (much less with the numbing and all.:(

Thank you Jackie, We're sure trying to get her past this stuff. Karla's waiver worker, Sarah, said the same thing about the gator aid and keeping her away fro diary products (or maybe the Doctor said that about the diary products, somebody said it). I DO appreciate the input here and the concern.
Prayers are most definitely appreciated as well. Doctor has her off work til next Tuesday. Hoping that she keeps progressing so that she can make the til Saturday (cause if she can't, it means WE can't make it up there for the Show and the Cruise (not to mention that we won't be able to see you all again just yet).

Don't sound crazy to me, I know of some garages up here, that are closed during the day and work during the night. Even THEN, it can still be pretty humid.:rolleyes:
