This park is excellent for taking pictures..... If all of you going want to just meet at the rest stop at the Chain of Rocks Bridge and BBQ like we did last year over at the park we can do so.. I'm new and don't want to step on any toes but have you guys thought about going a totally different direction and maybe a new route? I know the drive down 94 to washington to union to Gerald and then to jeff city would be beautiful and a fun curvy route. One of our favorite restaurants is in rosebud and we could do ice cream in jeff city. I'm not sure how far you guys want to drive but this would be around 4-5 hours or more if we so choose. We are planning on attending regardless but I just thought I would throw it out there.

I am weird about cruises.............not my favorite thing. I like doing them by myself...........but thats with just about everything in my life! Kinda an introvert!

Most of our cruises last about an hour or so drive time.... that doesnt include the hanging out and the eating and photos... etc... last month we traveled to washignton mo and joined the Avengers and had a great time other then the gravel road at the end... lol.... This cruise doing the Great River Road is pretty much an annual cruise. Myself .. driving to Jeff City is a bit too much.... Thanks for the suggestion though, but with most that have a job and or going to school its kinda hard for them to be gone that long and use all that money for gas .. etc...:D

Ok I contacted Pere Marquette State Park and all of the pavilions are already booked for Oct 23rd.... So heres the plan... All of us can either pack a lunch for ourselves or we can eat at the lodge or somewhere else in town as a group. We can picnic at the park... there are spots We can always eat before we start the cruise.. There is an Applebees and other places we can do this at...

As far as a meeting place..... We can meet at St Louis Mills Mall and head out from there... Hows that sound?????? We can even eat there first before we leave.. input please!!! :D

We ate at the loading dock this past Sunday... wasnt bad food great drinks.. whisltes... lol... They have burgers and fries and catfish and nachos... not a big menu but good for hanging out... They open at 11 am and its first come first serve for seating...

Ok bumpin this up!!!! The plan is we are meeting at St Louis Mills Mall between 11 and 11:30 ... we will head out about 11:30..... Anyone needing my number for contact that doesnt have it send me a PM and I will give it to you... Our destination is Pere Marquette State Park near Grafton Illinois... We will be cruising down 270 to 367 over the Alton bridge threw Alton down the Great River Road to Grafton... where we will stop and eat at a place called the Loading Dock..... Its right on the river .. great view (per weather allowing)..... We then will head to the park for photo ops and more cruising and hanging out.... We will be going back the way we came for departure... At that time we can all go our seperate ways or we can cruise some more to another destination... If anyone is needing a place to crash let me know I have room at my place!!! Any questions or suggestions????
