Anyone here following the progress of developing the new MAR Park Dragstrip?

I used to do a lot of street racing when I was growing up in Chicago in the 80's. I haven't raced since, but have been wanting to take my car to the strip to see what it can do.
I never had time to get to Gateway, but now since it is closed, never will.

A guy at my work lives up in Troy and was talking about the possibility of a new strip near him, so I started looking into it. They had a fund raising car show this weekend, but due to workload, I missed it.

Maybe next time they do a show, we can get some other members to attend to show support.

I grew up in Wentzville / Warrenton - and the nostalgia races in August......LOVED it! Went a few years when I was a young dude (like.......8-11).

I didnt know they were planning on doing this.... It would be nice if it was big enough that this is where they could relocate Monster Mopar.. Organizing a event or a M&G there would be a great idea.... :D

I'm comin home from Iowa right now and kn the way up I saw a TON of "no mar" signs.. Unpardonable can't wait for it but I dint understand why the twin wouldn't, I would think that would bring in slot of revenue
