Thanks to all the folks and especially my hubby that worked so hard at trying to get the halos installed. HonkEwitDaJeep 01-09-2011, 03:32 AM Sorry I could not make it, how hot and long did you bake them? That stinks, hopefully you can figure out how to get em done. KENSBADAZRT 01-09-2011, 03:38 AM Looks like it was good time guys...wish I coulda made it. Those calipers will look nice on your ride Tonja! Sorry about the halos Travis...may have to bake them a bit longer??? Back N Black 01-09-2011, 03:57 AM Started at 200 for 11 minutes, then stuck them in a little longer, still no luck. Then raised the heat to 350 for awhile. (the casing actually started melting) but the glue wouldn't break loose. Finally gave up because I didnt want to do anymore harm to the casing. Back N Black 01-09-2011, 04:51 AM I just looked at a few posts on another forum, it seems that no one is able to break the seal. however several have used a dremmel and just cut them open, installed the halos and then epoxied the lights back together then seal it sll with silicone. I think i will give that a try. HonkEwitDaJeep 01-09-2011, 01:39 PM damn that is extreme using a dremel, but I guess it might be the only way. I think on the charger headlights it is 225 for 25 minutes of something like that stuka3131 01-09-2011, 03:02 PM I just looked at a few posts on another forum, it seems that no one is able to break the seal. however several have used a dremmel and just cut them open, installed the halos and then epoxied the lights back together then seal it sll with silicone. I think i will give that a try. At least we were not the only ones that couldn't get it open! dremmel might be the way to go.
