View Full Version : Deer meets Tribal Princess!!!
yomenow 11-04-2009, 07:56 AM Well everyone this has been the worst and saddest night of my life for quit awhile!!! Tonight around 11:20 pm a doe decided she wanted to meet Tribal Princess and see if she could win... well the doe didnt win! Tribal stood proud and strong.... she bucked the doe back and in a pretty good spot....Luckly I wasnt drivin any faster then about 15 or 20 when the doe decided to try and cross the road I was on.. the doe hit my quarter panel first and her head swung around and hit my front bumper where the head light was/ is... I watched the doe being flown into the air and landing on the side of the road where she crawled herself to the woods as the 10 point buck watched her as I did till she disappeared..... I called the police and made a report... They said I was very lucky because just a few hours prior there was a call of a deer accident in the same spot but that vechicle was totaled out it couldnt be drove away! The officers went looking for the doe in the woods and found her and had to shoot her she was bleeding badly and her back legs were broke.... deer fur all over my car and enough damage to Tribal to make me brek down and ball like a big baby.... When the police came out of the woods they told me once again I was lucky because she was a hell of a big doe!... three times a normal size is what the officer told me so the damage could of been alot worse especially if I would of been going faster... Im alright but still shook up and not happy about my baby getting into fights.. Ive already had a talk with her about that..... I love my car and Im hopeing she will be fixed asap! Heres some pics of her from tonight .... I will get some more in the day light!:(:(

hawkeye4077 11-04-2009, 12:11 PM Damn Yo :eek:I feel so bad for you and Tribal. I am thankful it wasn't more serious. You were not hurt and the damage doesn't appear to be too bad. Hopefully you can get her fixed soon and everything is ok
HonkEwitDaJeep 11-04-2009, 12:44 PM Dang Yo, that is unfortunate, hope you get her fixed back soon!
Black Magic 11-04-2009, 12:52 PM That's not so bad. I expected a lot worse. At least your OK and tribal only has a black eye. When I drove a wrecker I got to see just what kind of damage a deer can do. Believe it or not, a deer can take out a semi! But then, so can a Magnum... o.O. I'll have to find that story on CM.
Prospector 11-04-2009, 01:27 PM Sorry, Yo
Happy that you are OK
FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-04-2009, 03:35 PM Omg Yo I am so sorry. We were just talkin last night about you goin to take a cruise :( Im sorry :( :( :(
0212353 11-04-2009, 05:32 PM ouch!
Damn deer.........messing up cars before a GTG! :D bastards!
Back N Black 11-04-2009, 06:09 PM YOur ok so thats all that matters.. material things can be fixed or replaced.
FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-04-2009, 06:17 PM This is kind of a wake up call for me. Lately there have been about 5 or 6 deer outside my gf's house everyday and i always think nothings gonna happen because im goin to slow to hit them, much less do this kind of damage
yomenow 11-04-2009, 06:54 PM Thanks everybody!!! Im ok still pissed off though.... I went to my dealership and got an estimate of the damages to Tribal... now this is with the hood not opened up and not put up on a rack..... just for the cosmetic damages that canbe seen its at about 2,600..... luckily I have a $250 deductible... but Im unemployed so thats even gonna be touch... sighs.... Ive kinda moved stuff around on her so she looks better but I still look at her and cry:(
Tribal and I will be at the M&G / GTG on Sunday no matter what.. shes going in the shop for repairs Monday that way it looks.... She will be back to new again and the dealership said they will take good care of me on this.....This just sucks.. I hate seeing my baby all messed up like this!
Yo
Black Magic 11-04-2009, 07:08 PM Many body shops will eat the deductible for you so they can get the work, especially if there is a lot of work to be done. Hope they take care of ya well.
yomenow 11-04-2009, 07:22 PM They already said they wont eat the deductable.. I tried.. this is a Dodge dealership and the one I bougbht my car at so I would of thought maybe.. oh well... Ill get it... thanks again everyone!
Yo
dang........Im sorry about the car but glad your ok.............cars can be fixxed a lot easier than a person can be..............
KENSBADAZRT 11-05-2009, 03:07 AM Ouuuuuuch! Well...tribal banged up a bit, but you're none the worse which is a good thing. Hope you can get her fixed up real quick Yo. Take care
yomenow 11-05-2009, 04:35 AM Thank You!!
Yo
0212353 11-05-2009, 12:23 PM what dealership was that?
Honestly.........take it to a dependent shop. You should definitely be able to find one to eat 250 bucks.
Luckily I haven't had a need for a body shop.........since I was 16. I did work at one for a VERY short time (out in O'Fallon), and I used to deliver parts to quite a few in the St Charles / O'Fallon area. I was amazed at some of the work they did, much better than the Ferd dealership I worked at at the time.
FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-05-2009, 01:43 PM Care to share the name of that body shop?
yomenow 11-05-2009, 03:43 PM My attorney advised me to go through the dealership because of other issues im having and doing.... I will try and sweet talk them again and see what i can do .. hehe.. maybe show up in some stelletos..lmao!
Yo
Black Magic 11-05-2009, 03:46 PM That might work... never hurt to try... LOL
0212353 11-05-2009, 04:14 PM Care to share the name of that body shop?
Back in the day........from 1998 - 2000 I worked for Pundmann Ford. Left there to work for Mudd Auto Body in O'Fallon. Worked for 3 weeks. Things were DEAD at that point, sucked - but the things I learned were simply amazing. I then went to work at Marshall Ford.
I delivered Ford parts to auto body shops all over STL. Mostly St Chuck / O'Fallon area. In that time I came across a LOT of body shops, some good, some horrible! Honestly, my memory is a bit foggy (hell, its been a decade!) - but I know that places like Mudd, Harvestowne (in St Peters), Button (O'Fallon) did GREAT work.
I can't remember the name of the place - but there is one place out off Airport Road / 170 area that was an absolute chop shop. Bondo fixed everything. The place had no heat either.......you ever try to bondo or paint when its 30 degrees in your shop? Its funny when they shut a door on a car and a 10 pound hunk of filler falls off of it.
FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-06-2009, 12:20 AM Omg thats horrible lol ill try and find those shops, thanks for throwin those out there!
0212353 11-06-2009, 12:24 AM Mudd is on the north service road of I70 between K and Bryan Road.
Harvestown AB is at 94/Harvestown
Button is tucked in behind Schnucks in O'Fallon (the one at K/South I70 Service Road). Good machine shop next to it too! :D
Hope you never need 'em, but if you do - they ALL do great work!
FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-06-2009, 12:26 AM Im mainly just lookin for someone to do some paint work but i wanna mke sure its done right
0212353 11-06-2009, 12:30 AM check Mudd out. Not sure if the dad is still running the shop (might be retired at this point!) - but Kenny Mudd does a great job. I learned quite a bit from him when I was there!
FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-06-2009, 01:07 AM will do! thanks for all the info!
