View Full Version : Bling Ring Install???? yomenow 11-04-2009, 09:35 PM Hey!!! Im looking for someone local that is willing to install a set of Bling rings for me.... Does anyone know of anyone who will do this at a reasonable price.... please let me know.. thanks! Yo hawkeye4077 11-04-2009, 10:03 PM Sorry i can't help with this one Yo. I'm loco not local :D:D:cool: yomenow 11-04-2009, 11:09 PM Well you could always come on in and install them for me:D... yeah right ! lmao Ive decided Im not gonna stop doing the mods that I want to do to Tribal just cause of this happening .. now if they total her out which I doubt... but the hood hasnt been raised either.. so i dunno whats going on under there Yo hawkeye4077 11-04-2009, 11:25 PM Well from what I can see from the pics I don't think there is anything serious wrong under the hood. Do you have any dash warning lights on? Looks like you clipped her which is wayyyyy better then hitting her full on. Prospector 11-05-2009, 12:52 AM Maybe GreenKing can help with the install (?) yomenow 11-05-2009, 04:41 AM I will know more Monday when they open the hood up and see... they are afraid it wont close if they pop it right now and I needto drive it to the M&G Sunday.. so they didnt do that.. hehe... Chapter Pres has to be there!!!! Yo FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-05-2009, 04:47 AM Yo if you find someone let me know, i want em sooo bad but im too scared to do it myself yomenow 11-05-2009, 04:57 AM Ill let ya know hun! Im gonna order then shortly .. so that I have them here Yo 0212353 11-05-2009, 12:20 PM whats it take to install these? I did a projector retrofit on my Ram. If the charger lights suck as much (to open) as the 06-08 Rams..........yeah, source it out! If not, do it with your oven and a heat gun. Hardest part........getting them sealed up right. Mine still leak, need to pull the driver's side Saturday and fix. FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-05-2009, 01:45 PM Ive never had to pull apart a headlight before but im sure it wont be any fun. Have you tried using silicon or someting to seal it up? kyote 11-05-2009, 02:02 PM pulling the headlights apart is surprisingly smooth. I watched an installer do mine and he did it effortlessly. I hate wiring so I had someone else install mine. lol. yomenow 11-05-2009, 03:42 PM Yeah the worst that is going to be with mine it the headlights... mine have a 17 mil film on them as the tint and protectant.. so they cant be put in the oven has to be done with heat gun... i have someone to do the wireing just not hte headlights.. a new set with bling rings installed are 258 so im trying ot go the cheaper route and since i won a set of bling rings .. well ya know.. lol Yo Black Magic 11-05-2009, 03:45 PM Wow, that will make it interesting. Heat gun to melt the glue will be a pain but I'm sure it can be done. Might run a bead of silicone around the edge once your done, just to give you that extra amount of sealant. I've got moisture in mine still. Need to try and get it out but haven't had the time. Love the look of these aftermarket lights but they aren't sealed worth crap. 0212353 11-05-2009, 04:20 PM Ive never had to pull apart a headlight before but im sure it wont be any fun. Have you tried using silicon or someting to seal it up? I have used RTV on mine. I have a fellow mod buddy on DT that has cracked open heads, tails, 3rds - he paints them, mods em, etc. He uses RTV on all of his, no issues. He compared the 02-05 Rams vs 06-08s once. The 02 heads come apart with a single 10 minute arm in the oven. Then they just open right up. The 06-08s....yeah, the first one took me 4 hours to open it. When mine get condensation in them I set them next to my dehumidifier for a few hours. Run another bead of RTV and let sit for a bit. Install the next day. Hope I am good. :D Not so successful just yet! hehe FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-06-2009, 12:22 AM haha i hope it works out for ya. This buddy of yours, you said he mods lights? any chance he can help Yo and I out with halos? 0212353 11-06-2009, 12:26 AM possibly, but he's in TX! Not sure if he has ever done halos, but I am sure he can do it. Also, Chad from Unique Coatings is a good guy for this stuff too. FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-06-2009, 12:27 AM is that from around here? 0212353 11-06-2009, 12:31 AM nope...........I think he's in OH. I don't know of any local people that do that stuff. Any write ups on how its done? Can't be that tough.........right? :D ChargerH2O 11-06-2009, 12:33 AM Just ordered my Flash Techs Bullet Halos to replace my AACs...Since the AACs went out and are Blinking. Well, they want me to break the car down, put the car back together, send the lights...wait....wait....wait....replacements come in and its Round 2 on the work again OR Buy a new set from them and they get replaced, send my old ones back in for a credit. Flash Tech said they will send the lights to me first for replacement. Then, I can send the old ones to them. Well. I am gonna give it a try myself when they come in. Already did the Fogs. Now its time to remove the Fascia and do the Headlights. 0212353 11-06-2009, 12:42 AM that bites! you have to take the bumper off to take the heads out of the car? I am spoiled! yomenow 11-06-2009, 12:42 AM The way its looking I might be doing it myself too.. who knows.. lol....Cody came over today and did a mod to my baby for me and it looks awesome.. he gave me light in my cup holders.. yeaaahhhhh!!!!... lmao..
