So I got my long tube headers on Wednesday and I love them. Finally got some time this weekend to put some heat wrap around some close wires and fuel lines and while I was at it I fabbed a cabin air filter(for some reason they are not offered on the Rams but are on a PT cruiser, go figure) and a new 4x4 badge. I took the original one off and I got tired of people asking me if it was a 4 wheel drive truck so I searched for one that I liked. This one is off of a 2008 Ford Explorer. What do you guys think? I'll also throw on a couple pics of my truck for those that haven't seen it. They are cell phone pics so not that great. I'm waiting on a few more pieces and then I'll take some better pics...

Nice, that badge looks great. How do you like your headers?

I don't really like badges but I got tired of the questions. The stock location is higher but I really hated it there so I lowered it.

I love the headers. Have some issues though. CEL is on but I'm hoping some O2 simulators will take care of that. You get a lot more engine noise but the sound is awesome and there is a noticeable performance gain. I'm just waiting for predator to release a tuner for the 11s so I can custom tune and really get everything out of them.

Thanks! Maybe when I'm done it will sound as good as yours. I'm still jealous from Harry Bears

I've been doing some research on O2 simulators for my car and what I've read so far is the Dodge ECM is too 'smart' to be tricked by them and they won't clear the CEL. I'd have to go back and find it but some people had success with a fancy $200 one while I think others didn't. Probably might as well save that $200 towards the Predator whenever it becomes available since that can turn the sensors off.

Well oddly enough the code I am tripping is not the one I expected. When I ordered the headers I ordered O2 extensions that plug between the sensor and the exhaust to pull them out of the flow as much and avoid the high heat codes p0420 and p0430. However the one I have is p0052 which is high heat in the front O2 sensor. I'm going to call ARH and ask if I can use these extensions on the front O2 sensors and hopefully get rid of the CEL for 24.95. I'll let you know what I find out

Oh I gotcha. Yeah I'd like to know how this all works out. Be nice if those worked and you didn't have to worry about a CEL for $25.

Great news! I got off the phone with ARH yesterday. Those guys sure have seen it all. I told them my problem and they immediately knew where to look. One of the harness extensions they sent me has a broken connector so I only have 3 pins instead of 4. They are sending me a new harness, and they also said that the 4th gen rams that they have done headers for the cel was solved by either the screw on extensions or the right angle extensions on the rear o2 sensors to get to where you are code free. Normally you don't get a code for the front cat, just the rear. The codes you get are for excessive heat in the rear bank which means your cats are not functioning as they should according to the computer. If you pull those o2 sensors out of the direct flow of exhaust gasses then that solves the problem almost every time. I should have a definite answer for you this weekend hopefully...

Those 4x4 emblems are nice.

Thanks Jon!

Getting the harness NDA. I want to solve this problem this weekend. And I'm sure they have some to fit your ride Landon. Lol

Update: My work is awesome! We had a extra guy today so they gave me the day off. Waited for my UPS guy to bring my harness, plugged it in, went to autozone to clear the code, and....no more code. It solved the front O2 code and I am not even tripping rear O2 codes. Best news I've gotten in a while!
