**First and foremost, please close this thread if I am in anyway breaking any rules **

After viewing a GB on another forum(s) (That I am a vendor on) my wife has come to the conclusion that she can produce these at a lower cost than what is being offered. Instead of steping on any toes over there I thought I would throw it up in the air to you guys. Do you think that for a complete 4 door set of custom covers $50 is to high and would any of you be willing to get a set?

Exactually what covers are you talking about? The door handle not the one to open the door?

Dang. I already go them but I would have paid 50 instead of what I did pay.

You may see if she can do over things as well like Seat Covers. Lots of people are asking for those.

Yeah, the door pull. The thing you grab to close your door... lol

I'm sure she could (She has MAD sewing skills), it's finding the time to do something that big between her job and taking care of me and the kids

The above pic is NOT one of her's, it is a picture of the covers that the vendor is currently selling in his GB...

She could do it but you would have to send her your door pulls, unless I can find a local guy. Let's let her get the design done on these first, then we will work on making you a set ;)

Karl what are they made of? Can you do the stitching to match the car? How do they attach?

Thanks

Made of high quality leather and as for the stitching, not quite sure yet. Im going to find her some "Practice Leather" this week so she can play around with the stitching.

Im sure she could do either. The convience of velcro would be nice for the consumer, that way they would'nt have to completely remove the door panels. What do you guys think? Im looking for all the feedback I can give her at this point.

I would prefer stitched myself. High traffic area and that would stress the velcro but then again, when the leather wears, velcro would make it easy to change out or to put on just before a show. Advantages to both.

personally I'd perfer stitched. Not a big deal to pull the panel off. Might not be the best for all consumers though. I judt don't care for the 'feel' with the velcro because the material would have to overlap some to attach securely. Stitched would give you a cleaner feel.

I agree with Ed. I think stitched would be the way to go. I would be interested in a set.

^^I have a couple consoles already covered if your looking for something other than stock. It's the darker color to match the console....and it's padded. Nothing fancy but brand spanking new. PM me if your interested and i'll shoot ya a price.
