Im just curious, everyone says that the ported throttle body helps but how much of a difference would t make in a 3.5L? Where is a good place to buy from and about how much do they run? Just curious..

I've got a ported TB on my 3.5... and honestly, did not find it to be a major improvement -- maybe a little better throttle response

thanks for the advice phil. So if you had to do it again, would you still buy one?

Do you guys have to get your TB caliberated like the calibers do? I know if we switch them out we are suppose to take it to get recalibrated at the dealer..........Thats just what I have heard..........but stock TB is still making over 500 HP on a couple of calibers so Im not worried about switching it out.............Ed would know more about it............

The ported TB gives you increased throttle response which you will definately feel. I would check the vendors on the forumZ for one. I purchased mine from Inertia.

Jake any time you take the TB off or diconnect the connector you need to recalibrate it. You do not have to take it to the dealer to do this though. Its a very simple procedure.

Hmmm.

I took mine off to paint it. Put it back on and I didnt have to recalibrate it. Doesnt seem to be any issues at all.

What is the procedure for recalibrating?

Its simple. Put the key in the ignition and turn to the 'run' position. Slowly step on the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor then slowly release it. Turn the key off and you're done.
