Drove to Fort Worth each time to have them fixed and replaced. Now every single Ring has some LEDs out on them and AAC wants me to send the rings first to them and then they will send replacements......that sucks. Or their installer wants another $200.00 to replace them all. Why should I have to pay him $200.00 to fix their faulty product?? The installer told me it will take him 4 Hours to replace them and his time is too precious because he needs to spend time with his girlfriend.....no kidding, thats what I was told......so I guess my time isnt precious when I drive 6+ Hours to Fort Worth....wait the 4 Hours install time.....and Then drive 6+ Hours back to N Little Rock..... FlashTech will send the lights to me first and then I send back the messed up ones....much better, IMO Nothing against AAC, I still have their products and will continue to buy some of their other offers but they could use some better customer service skills in the warranty department on the failure of their products. They should back it up behind their rising business. I was told that they could not send out replacements without their shipping department having an invoice showing I had paid for the new rings. Sorry to rant! psherlin 11-21-2009, 02:24 PM The first thing you need to do is to go to NAPA and get the plastic rivets, part # 770-2871. There are 20 to a package and cost less then $10.00. You could go to the dealer and pay +$3.00 for each one. You have to jack up the front end, remove the covers under the front, remove the push fasteners on the top of the front clip, remove the wheels, the fender liners, there are two bolts and a nut on each side, then you can remove the front clip of the car. The head and tail lights can be cooked at 220 for 15 minutes and very carefully pry then apart. To put them back together recook then then press them together. I used a ratchet strap to do that for me. The fog lights have to have the front cut off them and then glued back together. What type halos? I'm looking at the ones Flastech has! psherlin 11-21-2009, 05:20 PM My headlight halos work just fine, they are on a 10v regulator. My tail lights started to flash when all four were hooked up (red led). My turns (amber) and fog light halos (yellow) started to flash with both hooked to the 7v regulator. According to Flashtech, the guy who invented these is working on a fix. So today I am hooking up the outside real halos and disconnecting the fogs to see if fthe turns start to flash. Told Flashtech I'd let them know how it went. Once all this gets worked out I would be glad to help you with yours. I already have a rivet gun for plastic and I have had my front end off twice. There is nothing like doing something a few times to get the hang of it. LOL psherlin 11-21-2009, 06:47 PM The lights have been of an hour now, and there is no sign of a flash. Think that the rear needs two regulators and the fogs and turns need their own also. I'l let you know what flashtech thinks. ChargerH2O 11-22-2009, 03:23 AM Flashtech is very helpful in getting the Halos to work right. FOST3RS CHARG3R 11-22-2009, 06:21 AM subscribed.. psherlin 11-23-2009, 02:39 PM Talked with Steven at flashtech, the tail lights will come with two regulators. My other one shoud be here today or tomorrow, Will have Pic fromt and rear. GreenKing 11-23-2009, 02:55 PM 220 for 15 sounds like a lot. 210 for 12 is all it took and mine just literally fell apart, nothing to it. As far as resealing, i removed 100% of the factory sealer, used black rtv silicone, and used a ratchet strap to hold them together, no need for an oven for the reseal. The AAC lights don't use inverters or regulators for the led halos, and thats the only way to go, imo. AAC service sucks hind tit, no question, so be very prepared to deal with some bs. The products are worth it though, so we keep putting up with it. Have no experience with flashtech, do their led's use regulators or inverters? psherlin 11-23-2009, 05:14 PM They use regulators. Had the AAC halos, the tubes, the ballast kept blowing. The LED from Flashtech are working fine. Just discovered that it takes two the keep the rear happy. Flashtech has great CS. psherlin 11-28-2009, 12:48 AM The regulator came in and the halos work perfect. I now have daylight running lights on the front and back that look way cool. vBulletin® v3.8.4, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
