I just got off the phone with SGT Gabriel Harderson, and I have decided that the Decmeber M&G is going to be a Toys For Tots Run. The date will be Sunday December 6th, we will start at the Toys R' Us drop off location in Norman, head to the South Okc Store, and then to the North Okc store. Everyone will need to bring unwrapped toys, they dont have to be anything fancy but they do need to be brand new and unwrapped. He has told me that he will get a couple Marines to ride with us and we will take pictures at each location. In the event of bad weather we will move it to Sunday December 13th. Any GPMM member is invited to come down and help us out, this is an awesome charity and we need to show out support.

Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation has supported Toys for Tots since 1991.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted

I was contact by SSgt Dixon today, he is going to get us on their events calendar. I would like for everyone to brings as many toys as they can, I understand soem can not bring 2 toys per drop box or whatever, there is no minimum, or maximum. If you find a good deal on toys let me know we might be able to purchase a large quantity or something. anyways I would like for everyone who is going to be at the Norman Toys R Us at 930 on the 6th, we can line the cars up in front of the store and take some group shots. then when they open at 10 we will take to toys inside and gets some pics of the donations, after that we will head to the south OKC store and rinse, lather, and repeat... after we are done, we can head somewhere for a bite to eat before everyone heads home.

We will start in Norman at 930, line up the cars in the parking lot for group shots, doors open at 10am, we will take pictures of each member dropping off the toys. cruise up I35 to the south OKC store, and ending up at the north OKC store, after the last drop off point I was planning on grabbing some lunch and then cruising home. I will need to be done by 3pm since I will need to go to work at 4. let me know if you have any questions!

i am gonna go out on friday and fight the crowds and try to pick up some toys, if I find any great deals I will let y'all know! remember to get boy and girl toys! Also if you have extra coats laying around, round them up I have something in the works, and details will soon follow!

I think I will just buy a toy from each location and then drop it in the box on site. A lot of people do that when they see the Marines at the locations even when they aren't shopping for themselves.

Also, if you buy a toy from Toys R Us and donate a dollar on top of your purchase, the store gets credit for the Toys For Tots drive. Each store competes with one another and that's how they track donations at the registers.

Yeah I think I've got some extra coats and stuff stuck in the closet.

I have several old coats hanging in the closet..Will be nice to get them out of there for a good cause.

I'll be waiting at the appointed location at 7:30. Just got back from Stillwater for dinner (my sisters birthday) and stop and bought toys, of course there are several Dodge cars in my bags. I want to express my thanks to 08SRTD for going in half with me on the toys. He wishes he could make it but they have a small baby who is teething and don't think he would do well in the car for half a day. Looking forward to seeing everyone. i also got my firewall (all powder coated) installed today.
