Even though this is a couple of days early -- knowing that many here at PlainZ may be traveling for the Holiday (I, for one, will be working), thought I start this thread as a place to post Thanksgiving wishes and greetings for everyone.

like to ALSO say that I hope everyone has a Good One, Will be MY 1st Thanksgiving since the passing of my Wife Brenda, but I know that SHE'D want us to carry on with the memories of her and that's what I'm trying to do. I WILL keep you all in my thoughts and Prayers and ask that YOU do the SAME! So, EAT HEARTY, ENJOY your time with the family and STAY SAFE!;)

Everyone have a great Thanksgiving! And if you happen to be one of the unique individuals who will be shopping at 5 in the morning just remember one thing. It's just a TV!! Geeze! This will be my 11th black friday to work at wally world, and it never seizes to amaze me at how people act.

Bill, will be my 2nd since Mary (my wife) passed. I am planning a quiet day at home watching football. Hope everyone has a happy and safe Turkey Day.

Ed and Bill I can not imagine how hard that can be but glad that you both have very fond memories of your loved ones. on a side note we are cooking for 25 so if you guys wanna come join in on the fun there will be plenty!!! 2 turkeys, 2 hams, 20lbs of potatoes, sweet potatoes, 2 broccoli and rice casseroles, green bean casserole, gallons of gravy and probably enough stuffing to fill a magnum lol. Oh yeah, about every pie imaginable, and there is a keg in the garage if you need some refreshment lol

I am starting to notice a trend for when we have folks over, it starts as 5-6 and ends up being huge lol

Lol I might just call in to work and come down to OK and join ya with that kind of setup! Lol happy holidays everyone

Hawkeye, sorry to hear about Mary. You know what I am going through. It just seems so incredible that "ALL OF A SUDDEN" you are a party of ONE. Karla (my Daughter, who's "Special Needs"), my Dad (I take care of him, he's 84) and I are going over to Sarah's (Karla's Waiver worker), who's like family, and have a get together with her and her boyfriend. Looking to do the same thing for Christmas as well. Take care of yourself and I'll be in touch.

Now, I have to tend to the central heating/air unit, it quit last night. :rolleyes: That' ll keep my mind off of things for a little while.

Ha! Sounds like YOU are set to feed an ARMY there! I do appreciate the offer, but I'll probably stay around here this time. Maybe, I might be able to come over sometime and look you up though. Be nice to meet up with some of the bunch. Soon as I can, I'm going down to the Little Rock area and see about meeting Nick and whoever else I might happen upon. Got some possible plans for the OLD GTX that will make it more manageable for trips on the freeway.;)

I'm thankful for all the great friendships I've made here.... I get excited when I come here to read the new posts, not only for the new stuff I might learn but also warm feelings that we all share for each other.

I'm thankful for my two great sons, they make it all worth while.
I'm thankful for having a roof over my head and a nice car to drive
I'm thankful for having seen a lot and experienced so many things
I'm thankful for having been able to see our entire country as well as Canada and Mexico
I'm thankful to the great people at the hospital without whom I wouldn't be here today

but most of all....
I'm thankful for my great family and all my friends.... to all of you... Happy Thanksgiving

Thanks for THAT, there ARE times that are pretty difficult to deal with (as YOU well know). It's something how, a person goes through life, sees other family members and friends pass on and never even thinks about it hitting YOU where it REALLY hurts! Not that it doesn't hurt to lose the others, but the loss of your MATE (if there REALLY is the connection between you that there should be) really will set you back. A friend of mine put it pretty well too. He said that when I lost the others, Brenda was THERE to help me past it, but NOW BRENDA is the one who's gone!

Figured Id come on tonight and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving once again! We just got home from our travel to Dezarc Missouri to the inlaws to spend Thanksgiving there with them... its was a very full house...
