View Full Version : New Exhaust.. 4in Resonated Tips "Reso Delete"
Ramrod 12-26-2011, 03:40 AM My old set up sounded great, but I got used to it and wanted something louder...
New Set up... Thinking of switching out the Muffler for a Flowmaster or Cherry Bomb Pro...

Jarhead11 12-26-2011, 05:34 AM i have a suggestion, but instead of flowmaster, you might consider jones full boar muffler, cheaper, much better aggressive tone!

I've noticed on the Challenger forums the V6 guys have been using the Jones. I may go that route. I've read they have no drone as well.
FuriousFushiaChick 12-28-2011, 01:17 AM I just put Zoomers on my challenger and I am very pleased with their sound.
Hope what ever you put on makes you happy!
Ramrod 01-12-2012, 12:45 AM Just ordered a Full Boar Deflector Muffler. Should have it on my mid next week.
Jarhead11 01-12-2012, 01:03 AM Hope ya like it! Cant beat the sound in my opinion!

Can't really go wrong for $27.95.. If it's to loud. I'm going to try and send it back and upgrade to their V-Tube Muffler.
Jarhead11 01-12-2012, 01:26 AM Ive got the ones that are identical to Flowmaster, I used one on my 5.7 ram and man did it roar! My car is almost the same except its duals and my ram was full 3in single. If I can get the drone down a tad, Ill be extremely happy!
Ramrod 01-12-2012, 03:00 AM You can either replace the Muffler with there V-Tube or try 8in glasspacks for reso's to knock the drone down.
Jarhead11 01-12-2012, 03:03 AM ive got the bobs deletes, thinking of ordering his glasspacks from him welding them to the deletes

The longer the Glasspacks the quieter it will be. I've read many guys getting the 8in'ers to knock down the Drone enough... Also like I stated before. Just replacing the Deflector Muffler (Flowmaster Clone) with the V-Tube might be a better lighter weight choice.

This performance muffler features a totally unique, patented V-tube baffle to create an exclusive Full Boar chambered tone. The V-Tube is FULLY reversible unlike most other chambered mufflers. This muffler features a 100% welded, 16g aluminized-steel construction with supported Inlet & Outlet necks which is unheard of in the industry. This muffler tends to be a tad mellower than typical 2-chamber mufflers, but flows just as well, & delivers a performance tone.Made in the USA.
Jarhead11 01-12-2012, 04:56 PM picture didnt show up...lol
Ramrod 01-12-2012, 05:03 PM It should now..:)
I'll be doing the same thing if I think mines to loud. But over on the ChallengerZ. Those guys reported 90% less drone then there stock Muffler.
Jarhead11 01-12-2012, 05:06 PM mine doesnt really bother me much but just aggravates me mostly at startup, going through the rpms and downshifting makes it all worth it, these mufflers make this awesome thunder rolling in sound that just sounds sick! lol
Ramrod 01-13-2012, 07:23 PM Well it's official. I have one Deflector and one V-Tube on the way. Should have them by Wed. next week. I'm going to have one clamped in. Drive it a week then switch to the other. I'll choose which I feel I like the best. I'll have Video and sound clips of each.
Jarhead11 01-13-2012, 07:43 PM What an awesome idea! LMAO
KENSBADAZRT 01-15-2012, 05:09 AM I just put Zoomers on my challenger and I am very pleased with their sound.
Hope what ever you put on makes you happy!

Mopar 11 #837 01-15-2012, 12:53 PM No drone when using the autostick the drone happens when the MDS kicks in Sucks on lonh highway road trips but I just crank up the music and all is good.
