Im noticing lots of underhood heat because of the headers. Theres a place here in OKC that does that jet coating Im gonna check with them monday to see about getting them coated. Its supposed to greatly reduce the underhood temps.
Youre gonna have to run a new positive cable.

Reroute the positive cable.

Make sure your hood to cowl seal isn't leaking or coming lose. Plays hell with the ignition wires/cap and rotor and other electricals.

Backup light is probably a bad ground or bulb issue.

How much is that gonna run? Are you going to take the headers off yourself or does the jet coating place do it? Im not sure if getting them coated would really reduce underhood heat that much. I wouldnt stress it, ive ran headers on three different cars and never had an issue with them.

You must have bought one from a parts store which will require some fab work or adaptation. I believe ther's still a screw terminal on the starter but you may have to remove the tab style terminal to make it work.

Might try one of the Mopar parts sites online for an OEM cable...but it won't be cheap!
