HonkEwitDaJeep 01-04-2010, 06:42 PM Now that most of the artwork is wrapped up I asked Asutin what we need to bring for the install day.
1) a clean car, we will go over them again before the install but it need to be pretty clean before hand
2) Paper Towels - gonna need quite a few, and not just for the drool over my graphics hahaha
3) window cleaner - windex, etc
4) flood/contractor lamps just to help out with the lighting
5) if you have a propane tank please bring it, so we do not have to use the propane at the shop and replace it
6) byob - self explanatory
7) any other mods you want to work on while installs are going on, there will be extra folks around who will be willing to help I bet so bring em on and lets knock em out!!!
I know I am going to be doing some painting under the hood and rotors if I can get the stuff together, what is everyone else gonna need help doing???
ChargerH2O 01-04-2010, 10:20 PM I would like to:
-Paint my Calipers ( Already Black ) Orange
-Put on my ZZ Auto Door Lever Covers
And replace my Halos ( but I know we wont have an oven ) from the AAC White Ones to Flashtech Orange ones.
So I need to bring Paper Towels ( Regular Household or Shop? ), Windex, Beer :)
I dont have any Lighting for a shop or a Propane Tank.
kyote 01-04-2010, 11:02 PM I have to extend my halo wiring to wrap around the far side of the terminal so I can finally install my ABS cover. I also want to paint my calipers and check my brake pads. I may neffy some more parts, too. Hopefully, I will also reveal my new grill mod during this meet.....
Nick, I will have the trunk liner ready for you to install as well. :)
HonkEwitDaJeep 01-04-2010, 11:46 PM OK I know Joe and I are painting calipers and rotors, Nick if you could bring some papertowels and such that would be cool, Kellen do you still need tinsnips?
Craftsman 01-05-2010, 12:39 AM I have a pair of tinsnips at work, just let me know if I need to bring them. I also bought a work light on a stand just the other day. Of course it has already blown one of the 2 500 watt bulbs, I'll get back to Lowes and see if they'll replace it and get some extras. If need be I can leave it down there with Landon till next time I see him.
Craftsman 01-05-2010, 12:40 AM Clean car may be a problem. All the carwashes are closed around here because of the cold weather.
HonkEwitDaJeep 01-05-2010, 12:48 AM Joe I bet we can find one down here to get the big crap off
bikerbob1960 01-05-2010, 01:01 AM I've got a double contractors light that I plan on bring, along with other stuff.
HonkEwitDaJeep 01-05-2010, 01:23 AM worst case scenario I will bring a bucket and waterhose for ya Joe, can we get some coeds to wash em for us I wonder? lol

I will bring an LED worklight for general use, lots of tools, and munchies.
ChargerH2O 01-05-2010, 02:58 AM What kind of paint would be good for me to bring for my Calipers? I want Orange.
Regular High Heat Engine Enamel? or will I need a Caliper paint?
Also, Would it be hard to Spray it on or best to just Hand Paint it?
I had hand painted the Black ones I did. But I can wait on the Calipers if needed.
HonkEwitDaJeep 01-05-2010, 02:59 AM I am planning on getting G2 caliper paint, I know Joe already ordered some. the paint on kind that way I dont have to tape it off lol
HonkEwitDaJeep 01-05-2010, 03:00 AM Hey Kellen how much do you want for the trunk liner since Nick got a new one?
ChargerH2O 01-05-2010, 04:38 AM Well I know I wouldnt have time to order Caliper Paint.
So I will just hold that one off until Spring.
HonkEwitDaJeep 01-05-2010, 04:44 AM Nick I am gonna see if I can find it locally, if I do what color do you want? you can pay me back when you get here
ChargerH2O 01-05-2010, 11:56 AM Sweet Landon.
I would like to get Orange to match my vinyl!
kyote 01-05-2010, 01:16 PM I havent made the trunk liner, so its not a big deal unless someones really wants one.
I picked up some VHT caliper spray paint at advance auto. I want to try the spray since the paint currently on my calipers is G2 and has chipped away a LOT. Any ideas on how to remove the G2 paint already on the calipers?

G2 paint chipping!!!! Is this the 2 part epoxy that you apply with a brush?

yeah. I had an auto shop do it while they were working on some other stuff. Maybe they just rushed the process, but either way I need to fix the paint.
