I just got off the phone with SGT Gabriel Harderson, and I have decided that the Decmeber M&G is going to be a Toys For Tots Run. The date will be Sunday December 6th, we will start at the Toys R' Us drop off location in Norman, head to the South Okc Store, and then to the North Okc store. Everyone will need to bring unwrapped toys, they dont have to be anything fancy but they do need to be brand new and unwrapped. He has told me that he will get a couple Marines to ride with us and we will take pictures at each location. In the event of bad weather we will move it to Sunday December 13th. Any GPMM member is invited to come down and help us out, this is an awesome charity and we need to show out support.

Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fund raising, funding and support organization for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation has supported Toys for Tots since 1991.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted

I'm glad you talked to Sgt Harderson - he has some big events planned for this year's T4T. That is actually my unit! That weekend's events will be administered by my platoon so I will definitely be around.

Last year we met up with a Corvette club that does a M&G in Norman every year for this event. It was an awesome turnout!

no problem. :) I actually just got an email from the CO. That weekend will be managed by headquarters platoon; I will be in charge of the previous weekend (Nov 27-28). I will definitely be down for a cruise, though!

Bump, was contact by SSgt Dixon today, he is going to get us on their events calendar. I would like for everyone to brings as many toys as they can, I understand soem can not bring 2 toys per drop box or whatever, there is no minimum, or maximum. If you find a good deal on toys let me know we might be able to purchase a large quantity or something. anyways I would like for everyone who is going to be at the Norman Toys R Us at 930 on the 6th, we can line the cars up in front of the store and take some group shots. then when they open at 10 we will take to toys inside and gets some pics of the donations, after that we will head to the south OKC store and rinse, lather, and repeat... after we are done, we can head somewhere for a bite to eat before everyone heads home.

We will start in Norman at 930, line up the cars in the parking lot for group shots, doors open at 10am, we will take pictures of each member dropping off the toys. cruise up I35 to the south OKC store and repeat, after the last drop off point I was planning on grabbing some lunch and then cruising home. I will need to be done by 3pm since I will need to go to work at 4. let me know if you have any questions!
