Black Magic

I was kind of daunted by doing this. I thought I would spend a lot of time stitching just to get part way done.
I pulled the visors and brought them to my desk to look them over. First thing I had to figure out was how the mirrors come off. After a little wiggling and prying I was able to see how they came off.

At the top there are two tabs that face to the sides.

These are the easy ones to get loose. Now there are 3 at the bottom with the lock portions facing the top. Take your time and be gentle and you can pop them loose.
You can see the 3 on the bottom and the coresponding places on the visor.

After I had that out of the way I got to really looking at the edge and found out something amazing. The material is held on by small spikes all around the inside of the edge, in the middle. Yes, it's that simple.

Once that is out of the way you have to make a choice. If your material is thin like mine I would leave the old material on there. If you have a thicker material you can remove the old material so it doesn't get too thick.
Pull your material around the visor and trim it with plenty of overhang. Starting with one side work the edge into the grove that goes around the outside. I used a nice butter knife. No pointed edges and not sharp. Fairly thin and sturdy so it made a great tool for this.
