I feel bad that I started up with you all and then haven't been here, because of things going on. I should have let you all know before now.

Anyway, as some of you know, I lost my Wife Brenda in July of last year AND well, I've gotten to the point that I need SOMEONE to move on with (not AWAY from Brenda, mind you), as I am REALLY needing someone to share my life with and there IS a Lady (Berta) who was even introduced to me by Brenda a few years ago and SHE works through Bost Human Development, like I do. She is REALLY Awesome and we are getting to know each other. Just after we started getting together, we had a dinner date and she called to tell me that she wasn't going to be able to make it because she had to get her cancer treatment and would be sick to her stomach afterwards. She had tried to get the treatment rescheduled and couldn't. She didn't want to tell me about the cancer because she thought that might ruin things. Now, she's learning that. being of Dutch descent, I'm pretty "Hard Headed" about things. Anyway, we are still seeing each other some, at Bost events (as she is pulling back from me some and her friends, because the tumor on her stomach isn't shrinking like they need it to and she's concerned (I think she's understandably scared) that she might not beat it this time (she's beat cancer twice before). I'm respecting her wishes about backing off some (even though it's hard for me because I want to BE THERE to try to help her through this and am Praying for HER FULL recovery.
I DO take advantage of meeting with her at EVERY BOST event that she goes to AND she seems to appreciate and enjoy that.

So, with that being said, I'm asking for your Prayers, Thoughts or whatever For This Wonderful and Beautiful Lady. I want to do what I can to ensure that SHE will be around to give her the Life she deserves.

I really appreciate that Yo. I just get all beside myself sometimes. It was bad enough to lose my Wife of a 38 and a half year marriage and then, I think that I can get on with things when I realize that Berta is right there and not attached in any way. AND, from our first conversation back in Oct, (I was showing her pictures of the GTX, when she I was getting ready to go pick it up in Oklahoma, and how it was a tribute to Brenda, she said "wow, I wish OI could find a good man like You!" and went on to tell me that she was married for 26yrs and her husband started cheating and lying. So, they divorced cause she got tired of THAT. Then, over time, she's had a few boyfriends but they cheated and lied too. At first I really didn't think I was up to her level. She's so pretty and so confident and I just didn't think that someone like her would EVEN be interested in me. But, about a couple of weeks ago, I got the nerve to strike up another conversation with her and it wasn't long that our conversation seemed to be going as if we'd known each other for quite awhile. I HAVE known her for a couple of years through where I work, as she works there too. In fact my Wife Brenda introduced us. I always thought she was really something, but I was totally committed to Brenda (my Wife) and now, since Brenda passed away, Besides losing the Love of my Life (Firstly) and suddenly I feel all alone. Berta Knew Brenda and how we HAD been married for so long AND I think THAT is comforting to her, as I'm not one to run around and all. My Daughter is comfortable with my hopeful relationship with Berta as well AND that helps.

Just HAVE to get her PAST this Cancer, so She will feel comfortable about building our relationship!;)

Thank you, I just couldn't seem to get it together and get back in here til now. It had dawned on me that I hadn't been here for a spell and I should check in. I know that it WAS the thing to do. I can feel the support that is IN this place. AND, I know that there is "Strength In Numbers!" AND, Prayer Works! All I Need is for that cancer to be GONE! She's pretty Strong Willed and has licked twice before. I'm doing my best to be optimistic about it and plan on bringing HER in the GTX to a Get together ASAP! She's into motorcycles like I am, she's looking for an honest to goodness DECENT relationship, like I am AND She KNOWS that I was Married and how committed we were to each other. She wants a relationship like that and I hope to give her that and WILL, if given the chance.;)

I certainly appreciate it too. I'm looking forward to making one of those Meet and greets or what ever I can get to, in the GTX AND I WANT to have my Lady there too! So, ALL the Prayers are especially appreciated. She's DEFINITELY worth it!;) I get all kinds of attention with the GTX, but none of that matters near as much as the attention from HER!:cool:

Well, the GTX was down for about a week with a bad right axle bearing. Took me a little while to get to where I could get it apart to make sure just what I needed for it. Then I was given the wrong bearings and that added another day downtime for the old Girl! But, I got my bearings this morning, got the old bearings off and new parts in place. Then, had to go for a "Check out Spin!" Then, we went up to Fort Smith to eat out to celebrate. Got compliments and "Thumbs Up" from several folks in town. All I can say is, "I'm Back In Action"! Now, IF ONLY I could do the same for Berta and THAT cancer!;)

Gotta keep that Great Plainz Modern Mopars Sticker OUT THERE for folks to see and ask about it (if THEY don't ASK, I'll Just HAVE to TELL THEM!:D
