View Full Version : F/S TorRed SRT Challenger Hood (dented)
Perfuzn 04-05-2010, 05:13 PM For Sale is a hood that came off my car after it was repaired from someone turning left in front of me.
It is dented in the left front corner. Otherwise it straight. It has the intake bezels but there are some scratches on the metal around them where the body shop initially tried to remove them. It does have the "6.1 HEMI" emblems and the carbon fiber decal. The windshield sprayers have been removed.
This would make a great wall hanger in the garage or master bedroom :) or ???
Local pickup in Lawton, OK only.
More than happy to let you look at it before you buy.
First $100 gets it. Cash, Please.
The picture below is before it was removed from the vehicle.

Back N Black 04-05-2010, 07:47 PM 100 bucks seems like a pretty good deal. Might be a good Shaker hood Option. Hmmm

I was told the 6.1 Hemi emblems on it were, by themselves, around $30...
I was going to hide a plasma screen behind it and modify the hood with an electric motor that would raise and lower it to reveal the screen but since we have our first little one on the way, priorities and resources for projects, as well as space in the future nursery (which was formerly my "man cave") is at a premium. The idea of turning the hood into an an SRT changing table was rejected :o
Pokes277 04-07-2010, 06:56 PM Will it fit on a charger??
HonkEwitDaJeep 04-07-2010, 09:26 PM nope they only fit the challengers
Perfuzn 04-07-2010, 11:36 PM If someone was talented in sheet metal, it would be neat to see a Challenger hood grafted onto a Charger... Of course, I am biased to see someone try it...

I have thought about that, and wonder what it would entail.
Mr Farrell 04-09-2010, 04:36 PM the challenger hood is going to be too wide. the cost to make it fit would probably be more than buying a new customer hood.
doesnt trufiber make the chally hood for the charger?
Perfracer 05-24-2010, 01:51 PM Sorry about the mishap, Perfuzn. I hope the car's fixed by now. And, as good as new.
Did the hood ever find a new home? Thanks.

Hey Perfracer,
I still have the hood. Its still for sale.
I figure that if it doesn't sell, I can make into a headboard for a kid's bed.... or the master bedroom if the wife okays it... yeah, right.
Perfracer 05-27-2010, 02:58 AM Thanks for the reply, Perfuzn.
I'm thinking your hood would be great to put on the car, and drill out for hood pins, and some other ideas, before altering mine. You're three hours away. Have to figure that one out, as well as transporting. lol

HonkEwitDaJeep 12-09-2010, 12:24 PM Hmmm I wonder if I could fit it in the back of my Jeep, that could be hung on the wall for decoration in my garage...
Perfracer 12-09-2010, 05:09 PM Yeah, I'd have this hood already if I had a way to go get it. I actually want to re-use it as a hood, by fixing the corner, then having the hood, and upper fenders and nose covered in a flat vinyl (no need for repaint then), with sections cut out, showing the factory Red around the hood-bulge/scoop area. And, then install actual hood pins (I don't want to drill my factory hood).
But, we're several hours a part, and the Challenger doesn't make a great shop truck. lol
