Stock engine, oh lawd o_0 That's about 210 more hp than my 6.4 lol. Thanks for the numbers.

Hey Rednug, did the Dyno guy explain why your graph was so erratic and wavy? I also noticed that both you and Travis have identical AFR's Hummmmm......? Just curious…

I filled up with gas right behind Travis. Even used the same pump. Something must have been up with the 10% ethanol 87 octane gas. I think the wavy line was from the guy's foot trembling while he was pushing down on the gas pedal. honestly, I didn't notice anything on the chart except MAX POWER=624.63.

So, this is going to be a noob question, sorry, how come your max power is 625, when I thought is was advertised at 707?

The numbers are calculated to wheels. You account for the loss to the wheels 707 is advertised from the motor.

That's less than a 12% loss. I think that's pretty good. My 392 was had 14% loss. 409 from 475.

Hey Pistolgripwant2B I see you noticed the disparity in standard parasitic loss numbers for an Automatic Transmissions also. If you’re looking for real numbers and not the all "Warm and Fuzzy Feel Good" numbers most dyno guys throw at new bees, use the nationally recognized 20% loss (this for Automatic Transmissions) or 15% for manual transmissions. These two figures will get you really close to real numbers not the feel good ones. TBT its probably more like 18% and 23% for the newer cars since they added Two more gears in the Automatic and an Oil pump in some of the manual transmissions. The only way to know if your tuned right is to pull a couple plugs from each bank after you make a pass and adjust your fuel and timing (If you have a Tuner) according to what the plugs are telling you. If you don’t know how to read a plug, look around at the track you’ll see a lot of guys who do and are probably reading some right then. Realistic RWHP numbers for a 6.2 hemi with Automatic are 565.6 at 20% or 579.74 at 18%. Remember that both the Automatic and Manual Transmission cars are identical in Engine HP but they will produce quite different dyno results. Also remember, when you add more turning parts (two gears, bearings clutches, pump etc.) you are increasing parasitic loss not the other way around. If a dyno shop does not have complete access to the vital calibration codes they are just approximating adjustments and results
