Finally got around to installing my new motor mounts and they are working as advertised. I can crack the throttle now without my super charger trying to break it's way thru my hood. The engine doesn't hardly move at all now.
I did run into a potential problem that I should alert everyone about: When I pull the nuts from the studs that run thru the frame rails, I got a face full of water and crap. The studs that hold the motor mounts down to the frame had some rust developing on them. The checked the front of the rails and they are open so crap can get down them. I looked down the rails and there are drain holes they are farther down and there is a space under the mounts where residue can build up. So I'm going to drill a couple of small holes into the frame rails to give that moisture a place to drain. Anyway, back to the mounts. The driver side mount was pretty straight forward and easy to remove and install. The passenger side was a little bit of a bear but I got the stock mount to come out. New mount went in a lot easier. Moment of whining....If the craftshop would have had air, it would have made it easier with an air rachet....Luckily, I brought my electric impact with me and it helped out. ...I'm done now... First road test: There is slightly more vibration throughout the car. Seat has not only has heat but now it is a massager too. It isn't as bad as I thought it would be but if you drive your car everyday, you'll notice the difference. Once the car is rolling, there isn't any noticable difference in ride. Don't know if it was just me but I felt a little bit more torque when I was accelerating...I read somewhere that if you keep your engine from rolling over it transfers more torque thru the drive train....True or not, don't know..it just felt spunky. Side note: Cruised the new Dodge dealership and saw a new SRT8 Challenger in blue....not bad...price is high (46+k) compared to the 2SS Camaro or a low mileage GT500 but it looked good. I'm going to medicate and rest my bones...Have a good weekend!

Cool man. I'm glad it all worked out like it was supposed to. that is good info on the water collection place. It does suck working without an air compressor!!! Congrats!!

Great write up! You really should think of writing for an auto magazine. and,... "Seat has not only has heat but now it is a massager too" could come in really handy on long trips.
