Wish I coulda been there. Is it a timed track/event? Or do you just run the track? What were the MPH you were getting? Any restrictions on speed? How many vehicles participated. Moar details PLZ!

So this is strickly for fun. No timed laps, but if it looks like you're scooting-a-boot pretty good, someone is going to bust out a watch. I was told my consistant lap time was 55 seconds (i was told track record was 53 seconds). There are only two places one is allowed to pass. There is no fender-to-fender racing. Everyone gives each other a lot of room. You go as fast that you feel comfortable with. I went faster at the sherriff's track than I did at the Texas Motor Speedway Laps for Charity. And maybe, if not faster, as fast as the SRT track experience (i didn't pay any attenion on the speed we were doing there). On this small track it feels like you're moving pretty good. The Friday afternoon event was fantastic. There was 8-10 cars total, four/five of us on the track at a time. After a few laps a couple people might peel off the the pit (scheduled stop). For $30 it's a blast. I burned through well over half a tank of gas ($30 to fill up again on my way home. a side note: when I got to the track my average MPG was 18.8. While driving home my average MPG was 7.3). Tires take a beating. I have my own helmet (you can buy a head sock from them for $10 and use their helmet). I guess saturday events get pretty crowded (more people off work) and you might not get as many laps in. Each outting is, i think, 15 minutes. I probably went out 5-6 times.

I'll be doing this again.
